I’m so grateful that courageous women throughout history have paved the way for me to stand firmly in my femininity and power today. I want the same for other women; it lights my heart on fire when I see women pursuing their dreams and sharing their strength with the world.
Find a Mentor, Be a Mentor
Mentorship has been a beautiful vehicle for me to help other women cultivate their gifts and write their next amazing chapters.
I have a friend and business colleague who recently asked to meet with me. “I’m thinking of making a career move,” she started. “I know the work that my heart needs to be doing, but I’m just not sure of the path.” We shared a cup of coffee and discussed her goals and how she might go about putting a plan in place. By the time she left my office, she practically had a complete business plan! Win-Win. Sometimes when we’re walking through uncharted territory we don’t always see what’s around us… especially the possibilities.
As women, we talk about lifting one another up; but are we doing it the best way we know how?
Create a Trusted Space
For me, it starts with really showing up: clearing any and all static from the “what’s in it for me” headspace and truly holding a shared space to allow others to be seen, heard and valued. It’s an exploration of what is in their heart, what really matters, what they want their life to feel like.
These moments fill me with gratitude for the opportunity to show up for someone in that way, and for my valued mentors who have done the same for me.
The Power of Community
Places like RISECollaborative are a wonderful example of like-minded, like-hearted women in pursuit of their best lives. I’m so honored to be a part of that community.
I’m a businesswoman that is for and of all people… men included! But there is just something about women helping women that has the power to unlock so much possibility.
